O’Leno State Park, High Springs, Florida – https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/oleno-state-park

Situated on the Santa Fe River, a tributary of the Suwannee River. Beautiful, forested park with an interesting history. Originally a training camp for the forest service. Several of the original buildings remain. Scenic pedestrian suspension bridge over the river. The river goes underground for several miles within the park.

Indian Springs State Park – Flovilla, Georgia – https://gastateparks.org/IndianSprings

One of the oldest state parks in the United States. Famous mineral spring. We visited the nearby towns of Jackson & Juliette. In the town square of Jackson they were filming the fourth season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things”. We were able to walk past the old Radio Shack and drug store used in the series. In Juliette we visited the Whistle Stop Cafe which was the film location for the movie “Fried Green Tomatoes”. Unfortunately, the cafe was temporarily closed because their well ran dry. Our RV site was located overlooking a beautiful lake.

KOA Campground – Clinton, Tennessee – https://koa.com/campgrounds/knoxville

Well-run campground within a mile of the must-see Museum of Appalachia (https://www.museumofappalachia.org). Lots of peacocks, antiques, and authentic period structures.

Three Springs Campground – Corinth, Kentucky – http://www.threespringscampgroundandrvpark.com

The nearby Ark Encounter is the only reason we stayed at this campground though the grounds were beautiful. You MUST see the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY (https://arkencounter.com). We joined friends Nancy & Rich to experience this life-size (500′ long, 85′ wide, and 50′ high) replica of Noah’s Ark. Fascinating!

Next stop, Ohio!
