Extraordinarily Family

She and Me are blessed with an incredible family on both sides and fortunately this journey affords us an extraordinary opportunity to meet with many of them. We had the great privilege to spend Christmas with all of our children and grandchildren while Diggs was parked in daughter Kari’s driveway in Estero, Florida. The most difficult thing about our trip will be the 3 months we will spend not seeing them. We then enjoyed a delightful afternoon with Kent’s cousins, Matt & Trina Park, munching on homemade gourmet pizzas in their beautiful, bayside, dockside home in St. Petersburg, Florida. Matt & Trina & sons have traveled extensively and it was fascinating to hear the stories and see all of their international memorabilia.

That was followed by a visit from Jenny’s sister & brother-in-law, Janine & Doug Register, while we were camping at Suwanee River State Park in Live Oak, Florida. They brought scrumptious BBQ from Jacksonville and we ejoyed s’mores around a roaring campfire.

Following a stop in New Orleans, we are leaving a 2-night stay in Houston today where we met more of Kent’s cousins, Daniel & Mary Scott (Hagle) Kornberg with daughter Anna William, and George Hagle the 3rd & 4th in Mary Scott & Daniel’s 1903 downtown Houston home filled with eclectic created & collected artwork.

It has been so good to catch up and remember why we are so blessed. Once we reach our winter destination in Sun City, Arizona on January 25th, we will be enjoying the company of Kent’s mother, Myrlene Hugo, his brother & wife, Keith & Betsy Mezger, and their children & grandchildren. Kent’s brother & wife, Scott & Jill Mezger, plan to visit in Arizona in February.

We hope to see so many more family and friends over the coming year. Save a place in your calendar and driveway 🙂
