Jenny’s Lake

Me had a surprise for She while at Grand Teton National Park. She was given the name “Jennifer” at birth, but has always gone by “Jenny” unless filling out an official document or Me wants to get She’s attention 😉 There is a lake and lodge named “Jenny” in the national park that further highlights the beauty of the mountains.

At nearly 7,000 feet elevation, the lodge was built in the 1920’s.

Deciding against staying at the lodge where rooms start at $920 a night, we did enjoy a delightful lunch in the famous dining room. Me had a tasty Mushroom Ranch Bison Burger and She ordered a Cucumber Mint Quinoa Tabbouleh that was, quite frankly, a bit bland yet satisfying.

Our lunch was followed by a walk around the lodge…

… and then a walk around Jenny Lake herself.

Stunning! And the lake was pretty too!
