Yellowstone

We were able to visit Yellowstone National Park the week before it was closed due to massive erosion of roads caused by significant rain and snowmelt resulting in a 14-foot rise in the Yellowstone River. What a joy to be seeing the Yellowstone sights with our daughters and their families!

There was still lots of snow up at 8,000 feet. Little did we know that the following week much of that snow would melt and wreak havoc in the park.

Yellowstone lake was beautiful and cold. Elk and buffalo were enjoying the spring grasses.

Old faithfuls, She & Me, enjoying Old Faithful’s almost hourly eruption.

A couple of really cool grandsons visit one of the many hot, steaming locations in the park.
